Rally Rally is a great way to build teamwork between you and your dog while having fun! It's
a new canine sport that consists of a sequence of stations with a sign
at each station indicating an obedience skill that the handler/dog team
must perform. The team heels at a brisk but normal pace from station to station with the dog under control at the handler's left side. Rally at the Novice level is all done on lead, while Rally at the Advanced and Excellent levels is done off lead.
Dogs entered in this class need to know basic obedience skills including sit, down, stay, come, and controlled loose leash walking/heeling. This will be evaluated by the trainers on the first day of class, who can ask the student to take a Basic Obedience class before beginning a Rally class if needed.

Prerequisite: Basic obedience skills: sit, down, stay, come, and controlled loose leash walking/healing.

Knowledge of more advanced obedience skills such as front and right and left finish is recommended but is not required, as these will be taught in this class.
Description: In this class, students will be introduced to AKC Rally Obedience Rules and Regulations, as well as how each exercise is scored and faulted in a competition. This class will teach the 31 Rally Novice exercises individually as well as combining exercises into Novice courses. At the end of this class students will have been introduced to all the skills and tools needed to be able to compete in a Rally Novice trial.

Prerequisite: Handler/dog teams entered in this class must have completed a Novice Rally class, or be able to demonstrate that they understand and are able to perform all Novice exercises.
Description: This class will teach the 19 Advanced and Excellent level exercises, as well as continue to perfect the exercises learned in the Novice class. Handler/dog teams will progress to off-leash work at their own pace.

Prerequisite: It is expected that students in this class will know how to perform the appropriate exercises for their level (Novice, Advanced, or Excellent).
Description: This class is designed for handler/dog teams who have completed the Novice and/or Advanced Rally class(es) and want the opportunity to practice doing rally courses and to work on fine-tuning handling skills and teamwork on or off lead. Runs will be performed similar to a trial (including judge's briefing and walk-throughs), and will be critiqued by the instructor. Each course will be set up in such a way that it can be run as a Novice, Advanced, or Excellent level course.
